WHAT TO SELL ON EBAY?

WHAT CAN YOU SELL ON EBAY?

Everything!

From magazine clippings, to cars, to islands, to planes and helicopters. If you are a beginner I would start by selling stuff around my house, go through you garage and see what you don’t need. Just recently I found Fluke 75 voltmeter, last time I used it was 2002, sold it for $81.50 plus buyer paid shipping charge of $11.00. Easy.

Think about what you are interested about. See what makes money. What sells? If you want to become good at selling on eBay start small. Consider what you are interested about. Do you like to cook? You can sell cookware and or recipe books. Do you like sports? I do. I like soccer. You can sell me soccer equipment. Are computers what you are interested in? Make a manual about how to fix a computer and sell that. You can also sell computers itself or parts. There are companies that sell supplies to eBay users, such as envelopes, boxes, tapes, etc. Why waste time going to Wal-Mart if you can have it shipped to your doorstep.

GOODS

Plenty of people are selling goods found at flea market or garage sale. See you local newspaper where the garage sales around you. There are plenty of things you can buy cheap, and sell on eBay for profit. I once bought a vintage chess board for $4 dollars and sold it on eBay for $75.00; I made $71 just like that. Anything vintage is a good idea to sell. That stuff you can buy cheap at a garage sale and sell for a lot more. I would also suggest to do some research. Before you start buying stuff at your local memorabilia store see if it sells on eBay first.

BOOKS

Used books are a huge hit on eBay. There are a lot of sellers making over $1000 a week selling books. Not just any books sell well. Don’t bother with novels. Concentrate on books like, cooking, cars, trains, art, photography etc. Like I said before you can buy a lot of those books at a local garage sale and make a profit upwards of 300-600%. I am not joking here. Books are huge. You can also check out you local bookstore such as Borders, which is my favorite. They always have books that they sell for like $5. You can sell those for a lot more at an auction. Only buy books that are in good condition, books that don’t have torn jackets or are stained. Never pay more that 35% of what you think it might sell for. If you are really passionate about selling books you can put add in local newspaper such as:

WILL BUY NONEFICTION BOOKS IN GOOD
CONDITION AND PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR IT
CALL MIKE AT 702-555-BOOK

GARMENTS

Brand names are in high demand. If you can buy this cheap do so, you can make big bucks. Make some money the easy way.

COLLECTIBLES

How would you define a collectible? Everything is collected by someone, even eyeglasses. Ask your grandparents if they have old eyeglasses? Prescription and not prescription eyeglasses should bring in big bucks. Snow globes are huge too, if you can find some old ones. Vintage tennis equipment or fishing gear will sell great. Those are only some of the things you can sell on eBay. Give it a try and make money and have fun doing it.

WHAT’S HOT?

EBay.com has a section that will give you an idea of what sells well on eBay. I bet most of you didn’t know about it? It’s called what’s hot? It’s located on the front page of eBay. In the upper right hand corner hover your mouse over “SELL” button and you will find it there. It will tell you what item is a hot seller.

Next time I will talk about drop shippers. Its potentially profitable business. You sell an item and someone else ships it for you to your customer. Very interesting way of doing business.
