eBay startup guide

Beginner E-bay review and tips provide useful info on how to sell on eBay. This site is for all of you who are new to eBay business.

So how do you start?

First you will need to create an e-mail account, I am assuming you already have one, but if not go to yahoo or Google g-mail and created one for free. They will send you a confirmation link to you email. Click on the confirmation link and you are ready to go.
Also you will be required to provide them with a valid credit card. Here is a useful tip.

TIP: Use credit card that has low limit in case it gets stolen or something else happens.

It’s also a good idea to get verified; it cost, if I remember, about $5.

Next step, if you haven’t done so, is for you to open a pay pal acct. Pay pal is like having your own credit card terminal at your fingertips. The other good news about pay pal is that it belongs to eBay so it’s safe. Basic acct with pay pal is free but if you are going to receive money on regular basis you will have to have a business acct.

Once registered you will have to get verified and add bank acct. Like I said pay pal is safe and trusted name, they also have great customer service. I never had any problems with them.

Pay pal charges fees just Visa or MasterCard, but I believe they are a bit cheaper than other vendors. Also they only charge if you sell something and receive money. Pay pal is also preferred payment method for most buyers. You can set you pay pal preferences right on their website by clicking on auction tools.

FEEDBACK FORM FOR EBAY

This is probably the most important form on eBay you will ever have to fill out. So on the end of the auction you are encouraged to post short comments about the seller and or buyer. These comments are permanent and only eBay can changed or delete them. So before you bid on an item on eBay make sure you check out the comments about seller. You will notice that some sellers have a lot of feed back, that’s mostly because they have stores on eBay. If you click on the sellers name you can read the feedback and if click on see all feedback button more feedback will be displayed.

So this article should get you started on eBay. Next I will write about what to sell on eBay.
